We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to apply AI-driven analytics, ranking algorithms, and LLM-based automation to the venture capital allocation process. This role will be instrumental in building models that match funds with companies, rank investment opportunities, and dynamically suggest valuation bands based on real-world data and milestones.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop ML models to match funds with startups that align with investment theses and risk profiles.
• Design ranking algorithms that assess potential investment opportunities based on financials, market trends, and historical performance.
• Train and deploy an LLM-based system that can interpret investment rankings and communicate insights to fund managers in natural language.
• Build company valuation models that estimate valuation bands based on performance milestones and external market conditions.
• Optimize ML pipelines for on-chain and off-chain data ingestion, ensuring high accuracy and real-time responsiveness.
• Collaborate with blockchain engineers to integrate AI-driven decision-making into Metron’s smart contract ecosystem.
• Research and implement decentralized AI solutions to enable secure, verifiable, and trust-minimized machine learning models.
• Explore frameworks for decentralized AI execution, such as federated learning, cryptographic verification of AI outputs, or on-chain model inference.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in machine learning, AI, or data science, preferably with experience in finance, investment modeling, or blockchain applications.
• Expertise in recommendation systems, ranking models, and predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and ML frameworks for model development and deployment.
• Experience working with LLMs (GPT, Claude, or open-source alternatives) and natural language processing (NLP).
• Understanding of quantitative finance, risk modeling, and venture capital evaluation metrics is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with on-chain data analytics, DeFi protocols, and smart contracts.
• Experience or interest in decentralized AI frameworks, federated learning, or cryptographic verification of ML models.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
